Teri Hatcher makes good on triathlon wish

Teri Hatcher is putting her money where her mouth is and finally taking part in a triathlon. "I'm just out to do it and I did it. I did surprise myself that I'm in better shape than I thought I was," said Hatcher, a star of Desperate Housewives. Hatcher said the idea grew out of a conversation with a friend about must-do things. "I want to learn to play a couple of songs on the guitar. I want to learn a few of those fancy dances from one of those Dancing With The Stars teachers. And I want to run a triathlon," she said. The 44-year-old Hatcher will participate in the upcoming Nautica Malibu Triathlon on September 13. Hatcher is also raising funds to go to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Hatcher said running will be the most difficult part of the triathlon which includes a four-mile run – as its last leg. "It's the least fun for me. By that point, I'm really tired, so the whole time I'm thinking, 'I'm not going to make it.'"
