Peter Andre and Katie Price to divorce – with acrimony

Peter Andre and Katie Price will divorce today, according to an exclusive report in the UK Sun. Aussie crooner Andre, 36, is believed to have filed papers first, and Price to have ordered her solicitors to do so upon learning of her estranged husband's actions. The pair, who share two biological children, are locked in an acrimonious split and have brought on a legal scenario known as cross decrees. Last night a family lawyer told the newspaper: "It's quite sad really and nothing more than a petty snipe from Ms Price. It's her way of saying, 'I am not allowing you to divorce me – instead I am going to divorce you.' It's just a way of sticking your fingers up at your ex through legal process. It's about emotion – nothing else." Andre is said to have been incensed by Price's taking up with cagefighter Alex Reid, who is alleged to have made porn-style videos. Andre and Price have two biological children, Princess Tiaamii, 2, and Junior, 4. Price has a son, Harvey, 7, from a prior relationship with Dwight Yorke. Andre treats Harvey as his own son.
