WORLD EXCLUSIVE: We know the name of Kate Beckinsale's amazing dog

For the past week, we've been obsessing over Kate Beckinsale's amazing tiny dog so much that some of our friends have actually stopped speaking to us. We'll never forget the first time we met. Or the second time. And since then, we've been seeking out new pictures of the fluffy little thing several times a day. But throughout this, there's been one problem - we didn't even know his/her name or even his/her gender. The outfits were definitely feminine, but you just can't tell these days, can you? So, basically, we were totally stumped.

Well, guess what? NOW WE KNOW IT ALL! We just spoke to Kate Beckinsale's publicist in Los Angeles on this important international matter, and they revealed that our new favourite celebrity is a Maltese Chihuahua called... INGRID!

Amazing. The publicist could not confirm or deny if Ingrid was named after Bergman or Tarrant, but we know which one we're hoping for. We weren't aware of Maltese Chihuahuas before all this but now we're totally getting one for the 3am office, especially because our new favourite website maltesemaniac.com describes the breed as "courageous, extremely lively little dogs" which is just how we imagined she would be.

We feel so happy, we might actually cry.
