Jen and John rumours? Really? Still?

You know there's not much going on in Hollywood when people start recycling stories about Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer. Even though she's supposed to be going out with Gerard Butler, some new rumours have now popped up from nowhere suggesting that Jen is still in love with John. Why? Because apparently she's been wearing a watch that he gave her. So obviously this means that she's demonically obsessed with him and it's not just that she, y'know, wants to know the time and stuff.

"John gave Jennifer the Rolex when they were at the height of their romance in May 2008," says a source who phrases things suspiciously like a journalist would if they were making something up. "Jennifer hardly took the watch off, but when they split she stopped wearing it. In recent weeks she's started wearing it again to show John he's still in her thoughts."

And it doesn't stop there - apparently the brazen old ho-bag (we don't really think this, she's lovely innit) has also been contacting John by means other than timepiece telepathy. "She's even been sending him flirty texts and emails," says someone who knows a good rumour when they start one. "Jennifer's plan is obviously working - John is a keen Rolex collector and Jennifer knows how symbolic the gesture is to him. He's been replying to her with racy pictures and emails. It's only a matter of time before they officially announce they're back together."

Really? Is it? They'll actually announce that? Or is it more that John might one day write some mumbo-jumbo on Twitter and everyone will read into it? As much as we thought Jen and John were a pretty good couple first (and second and... third?) time around, this all seems a bit, well, made up, doesn't it? We apologise for wasting your time.
